Welcome to SAVE

Internet users care a lot about their privacy, and surveys suggest they may have reasons to seek privacy by hiding their identity.  This is why we have created SAVE. Save is a safe space for people to share everyday events that they have overcome.

We are knowledgeable of the many reasons people intentionally seek anonymity. However we are also aware that you may need help and by sharing your story you can find the strength needed to step out. Example:
The reason I won't use my real name is to not connect
my real life with the online community… I don’t want my
supervisors and colleagues to know about the other side
of my life, since that may make my image look bad.

My life was in danger…
I was even afraid to go on the Internet at that time

When you work with kids,
a lot of people feel like you don't have a right to a personal life.

Anonymity lifts inhibitions and can lead to people sharing and reshaping their experiences that can lift you up, provide support, kindness and generosity.

As your new safe space we want you to know that we take what you share seriously and will not tolerate misbehavior, such as harsh or rude language and acts that are illegal or harmful. Despite what you share we want you to know that you are protected and would like you to also use anonymity when telling your story.

We ask that you follow the guidelines of:  No identification of actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings or identifying information that could affect or be relayed back to your life, family or profession.

Below are a few things that people stated were reason they wanted to remain anonymous. Some people have sought help in online support groups anonymously. Some joined online domestic abuse or parenting support groups. Others need a forum to ask questions about finances or gaming as well as other unpopular topics or unrecognized groups of people. In addition there are people who like to provided support or help to others share their personal experience or an experience they may have been a part of or 3rd party anonymously. What we want you to understand is we understand and respect your right to preserve you public or self-image, and every facet of your life as you receive the support you need to manage your VOICE.
